Vietnam Veterans Day – 18 August

On Monday, 18th August, we pause to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day, honouring the service and sacrifice of the Australian men and women who served during the Vietnam War.

Originally known as Long Tan Day, this date marks the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in 1966 – one of the most significant engagements for Australian troops during the conflict. It has since become a day of national remembrance for all who served in Vietnam.

We pay tribute to their courage, mateship, and dedication, and reflect on the lasting impact of their service.

Lest we forget.

SCHEDULE:

0945 – Assemble at Anzac Memorial Park
0950 – Prowse family and RSL Re-Enactment Group march to the

Afterwards, all are welcome back to Redlands RSL for camaraderie.
